Val Saint Lambert crystal liquor decanter. Val Saint Lambert is a prestigious Belgian luxury crystal glassware manufacturer founded in 1826. This mid-20th-century design emphasizes clean elegance over the busy geometric cuts of earlier periods, featuring a classic cathedral shape defined by ten wide, hand-polished flat-cut vertical panels and a matching multi-sided fluted stopper. An etched watermark "Val" appears on the bottom base, and a hand-etched alphanumeric number appears on the stopper. The artisan etched this to show the stopper was custom-ground to fit this exact bottle's neck airtight. While traditional antique Regency decanters were made of softer flint glass with applied rings, Val Saint Lambert crafted this model using high-clarity full lead crystal. This gives the decanter a much heavier weight, sharper hand-polished facet lines along the paneled body, and a brilliant refractive sparkle that sets it apart from earlier 1800s glassware.
