This beautiful vintage Japanese Imari (Arita) porcelain scalloped dish features the traditional Kinrande (gold-brocade) style. It features the classic Imari trio of underglaze cobalt blue, rich iron-red enamel, and intricate gold highlights. The face of the plate is divided into alternating fan-shaped panels displaying floral arrangements, all radiating from a central floral medallion. The border has a distinctively fluted or scalloped rim, characteristic of late 19th-century Meiji to early 20th-century Taisho period export tableware. The crisp red square seal on the bottom, early Showa Period to mid-20th Century (Circa 1930–1960), is a stylized Kakufuku (角福) mark, containing the kanji character "Fuku" (福), which translates to "Good Fortune" or "Happiness". Historically used by the legendary Kakiemon workshops, this mark was widely adopted across the Arita region as a symbol of high quality and tradition on fine export porcelain.
