Heisey Oval Salt Cellar with Sunburst Pattern

This darling pressed glass cellar is an antique from the Early American Pressed Glass (EAPG) era, between the 1900s and 1920s. The oval salt dish has deeply ridged sides and a sunburst pattern at the bottom. An H on the bottom indicates it was manufactured by A.H. Heisey Glass Company. Heisey pieces from this era were individually handmade and are highly celebrated by collectors for their clarity, brilliance, and quality, mimicking expensive cut crystal.
