This blue and white porcelain ink box is from the antique market of Jingdezhen, a town long distinguished by imperial patronage. This piece is a small paste ink box with a parable depicting an encounter with a tiger (we hope the tiger wins) - and is part of a collection paying homage to the designs of the 1920's.
