This is a stunning Antique Victorian Blue Willow transferware plate made by Bourne & Leigh (Leighton Pottery) in Staffordshire, England. This is the iconic Blue Willow pattern, featuring a legendary Chinoiserie narrative design complete with a grand pagoda, a prominent willow tree, a zig-zag fence, three figures crossing a bridge, and the signature pair of lovebirds flying high in the sky. The underglaze blue mark features the British Royal Coat of Arms topped with the word "ENGLAND". Beneath the crest are the stylized initials "E.B. & J.E.L." (representing the manufacturing partnership of Elsmore & Bourne and the Leighton Pottery era under Elijah Brain). The Estimated Age is the late Victorian Era (circa 1891–1900). Adding the word "ENGLAND" helps date this piece more precisely after the implementation of the 1890 McKinley Tariff Act, while the specific partnership initials place production strictly in the late 1890s.
